Alternate Take

Harry Belafonte with Instrumental Accompaniment and Male Chorus.
This is an alternate take of shorter duration than released on single in 1952.
It first appeared in 1981 on the RCA Germany LP compilation titled,
Rare Belafonte, PL 43683.

Belafonte, Book-of-the-Month Records
No. 11-7701 (Year 1983), 3 Record Box Set
Side 6, Tracks (3) & (4)
Orchestra conducted by William Eaton
Produced by Jack Pleis.
Concert favourites, these takes were rescued from deep inside
the RCA vaults to find their place in this compilation. It appears
they were by-products of the Warm Touch sessions of 1970, and
excluded from the LP as they did not fit the theme. Another
round of applause for Jan Ejlertsen and his great sleuthing !
